This is my self portrait which we painted with water colors. I learned values and shade in this portrait. The main art elements are line, shape, color, and value. It gives me an artistic view of myself and shows me the various different shadows and light that hit my face.
This is a picture of four leaves drawn with pen and ink in a unique pattern. One new skill was surface on this project. I used line value and edge as my main art elements on this, when I stippled and cross hatched to differentiate between shades of gray. The mood this creates is a happy warm and upbeat feeling.
This is the macro still life photo where we draw a close up of an object of our choice. I learned how to draw and paint a photo from an up close perspective. The main art elements were shape, form, color, and value. The leaves remind me of the holidays and all the fun time with family we get to enjoy throughout the next couple months after the leaves fall. This is the leaf painting, we took pictures of leaves and an drew them and painted them. I learned the skill of painting. The main art elements are shape, lines, color and texture throughout every leaf in the painting. The fall leaves create comfort because I love the fall it reminds me of football, thanksgiving, pumpkins.
This is my drawing of a room, that shows a room from a perspective of actually being in there. I learned how to create form on a 2d plane. I used lines, shape, form, throughout the drawing and value and space some things are further away than others. It makes you feel familiar with the room, as if you were Actually in it. It's important for artists to be able to incorporate 3d things people can see into their drawings.
This is a pencil drawing of hallways right outside our classroom , 3 pictures combined into one a tryptych. I learned how to combine lines shape and value while looking at at hallway to draw it on paper. I used line, value, shape, and form to create hallway throughout the entirety of the drawing. It expresses depth and creates a feeling of actually being in the place that your watching which gives the audience comfortability.
This drawing is various shapes being looked at from one perspective, as they all come out of the vanishing point, using orthogonal lines horizon to create an effect that they are popping out in different directions. I learned how to create a one point perspective drawing. I combined the art elements of lines shapes and different values to creat three dimensional shapes from the perspective of one point on the back wall. These art elements create emphasis and different patterns to catch the audiences eyes, it has pattern on the right side to create harmony, these different art elements give a feeling that it's jumping out on you and the cross which is symbolic of Jesus reconciling the world(which is important to me) ties all the harmony together an makes for a peaceful yet emphasized drawing.
This is a drawing where I connected parallel lines of various sizes and value to. Show 3d on a 2d plane and create complex space. I learned how to describe space on a 2d plane when I used relative space in the bottom right through the use of different sizes in my parallelogram, an varying my relative size in spaces where there was originally negative space and the values was described thro the overlapping I did throughout all parts of my drawing. Space was the strongest are element used as I completely expressed in through the varying of line size and shape. The space allows for the drawing to be seen as a combination of 3d parallelograms that over lap and create value and space.
1. This drawing is polygons drawn inside each other slightly turned to create the illusion of curves in the straight lines. I learned how essential lines are in drawings to create more complex shapes.I used shape which were all geometric to create complexity in my drawing and combined them to creat a large drawing with various sizes of shapes. Shape and a combination of this art element created complex combinations with the illusion of curving lines when only straight lines are used.
